Gernot Preslmayer

Born in Linz, Austria I've been interested in graphic design from the age of 13 when I started redesigning album covers that I didn't like on an original Macintosh Computer. What followed a few years later was a course at the College for Graphics and Communication Design in Linz and an on-going process of gaining both work and life experience.

My passion is typography, the story or feeling a single letter form, a group of words or a piece of text can form. I’m an ideas driven conceptual designer with both feet on the ground.

Though my experience is working with global and inter-cultural clients I find locally based and social brands really exciting. I’m interested in exploring the relationship between real life situations and the brands/design environments around us, is it climate change awareness, urban design, the health sector or the promotion of local arts and communities.
